Curriculum vitae
Primetta has over 20 years experience in plants genetics. Much of her earlier work has been devoted to the study of genes involved in plant development and to the application of molecular markers to cultivar fingerprinting, phylogenesis and food ingredients traceability. In the last 10 years she has been involved in the analysis of gene expression using advanced approaches based on the integration of "in silico" and "wet" biology. From 2004 she has moved from the laboratory to the computer room to apply computational biology techniques to the study of complex regulatory circuits involved in the control of gene expression.

Current research interests
Computational analysis of microRNA targets. Study of complex regulatory circuits involving microRNAs and transcription factors. Identification and analysis of microRNA coding genes.
